Stella was on fall break this week Wednesday through Friday, and Gracie and I were so glad to have her home with us! On Tuesday, one of her classmates drew her name to be "student of the week" and that also means she gets to bring home her teacher's Curious George toy to have adventures with Stella. The teacher sends home a George journal, and the parent records what George did at your house, as well as attaches pictures of George hanging out and doing various activities. It was a lot of fun! Below you can see George steering the boat at the Excelsior library in the kids' area. He also tagged along for a Caribou run, Target errand, a Pilates class, and to pick out some pumpkins.
The first day home, they had so much fun playing with My Little Pony ponies and putting them into the hood and pockets of Stella's sweatshirt. I so loved hearing their laughter.
I just had to bring home some of these tiny apples that are perfect for Stella and Grace to handle. The name is pretty darn cute, too.
In other news, we hired our friend's company,
South Face Creative Builders, to begin some remodeling projects, and it started this past week. We are doing the upstairs bathroom, adding a shower to the downstairs bathroom, putting in a new front door and new tile in the entryway, getting new trim in some areas, having some doors re-painted, and finishing the porch.
