i sometimes imagine what my life would look like if i were a cosmopolitan chick. i call this version of myself "loft sarah". swapping my traditional home decor for a more modern, eclectic vibe, this sarah would move to the city. she would frequent the farmers' markets and make amazing meals with fresh ingredients; and the nights she wasn't creating gourmet masterpieces at home, she and brett would patronize restaurant hot spots that feature the word "fusion" a lot in the menu. we'd only shop at boutiques for the latest fashions. i would go to yoga studios to work out...
okay, some of that was exaggerated, but i do have a side of me that is drawn to that kind of style-at least for interior decorating. how fun would it be to get brightly colored things like a lime green kitchen-aid standing mixer? a hot pink couch? blown glass art adorning my contemporary clean-lines coffee table? eclectic this-and-thats?
no pastels for me, please. give me bold colors, clean lines, and a clutter-less backdrop.

Ooh, me too. Bold colors, clean lines, simple decoration, for sure. As a testament to that, the Brita water filter I bought for college is a vibrant orange.
