the winter sky is so honest and true; clear and radiant.
no matter what anyone else may say to the contrary, i love you, winter: you are beautiful. i love the silence after a snowfall; the exhilarating cold air; christmas; boughs of evergreens decorating interiors; wreaths of pine adorning front doors. i even miss you in the hottest days of summer; i love your gusty winds which make me feel all the more cozy inside. i will sink under the sheets with a good book in hand and a cup of hot tea cooling on my nightstand. i'll revel in what this season brings while i can.
I don't mind winter at all. I like the fact that everything slows down; no yard work and long evenings indoors; I catch up on my reading in the winter. I am always ready for spring though. Sonia
