halloween + the best moments of autumn

The second act of autumn is coming to a close--the leaves are raked and bagged up, awaiting removal; the apple orchard and pumpkin patch outings are over; now it's time to prepare for the cold winter ahead. With each passing year that the girls get a little bit older, I have found the activities associated with each season become more and more enjoyable.

Stella wanted to create her own jack-o-lantern template

autumn-themed scavenger hunt

our neighbor amanda took a series of delightful shots capturing the joy of leaf piles! grace, on the other hand, did not enjoy wading through the leaves. :)

Preschool craft

I love the faces Stella drew on her pumpkins!
Grace's art projects
Masks from their preschool treat bags
What a fun night of trick-or-treating we all enjoyed this year! My dad walked along with us and our neighbors, and Susie and my mom stayed back at our house to hand out candy, and to watch Grace when she got tired walking.
