A beautiful little windy dirt road leads to the lake and cabin. As a child, I remember the anticipation building as we rounded those corners around the birch and pine trees. Finally, we would head up the little hill and at last see the back of the cabin and a shimmery glimpse of the sun hitting Long Lake. After giving hugs to Grandma and Grandpa, we would change into our swimming suits and jump into the lake. Ahh, memories.
