blue skies and happy hearts

A few weeks ago, we enjoyed an unspeakably beautiful, mild, sunny day. The girls were begging to go outside and play in the snow and, while I'm not the kind of mom to love frolicking in the snow, I sucked it up, got on my snow gear, and we headed out. We had so much fun sledding down a (tiny) hill across the street, going for a walk in the puddles, and I pulled them in the sled in our backyard. Stella said a few times, "This is the best day ever!" Kids truly love when grownups play with them. It was such a special day, and I will always cherish the memory.
