may in review (2)

The Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, my dad spent most of the day helping us select plants at Bachman's for the front landscaping. My dad has quite the eye for picking out these kinds of things, so were grateful for his help. Stella loved orbiting around them throughout the afternoon and holding earthworms whenever Dad or Brett uncovered some while digging.

Stella informed me that this bush yew was "tall and a half"

That evening we had the privilege of watching 2 out of 3 of our friends' boys. The girls had so much fun playing with Jude and Luke. They learned a thing or two like how to make car sound effects. Brett played "pirates" with them. I was able to take some super cute and funny videos of their pirate adventures, which I will eventually put on my YouTube channel.

They are so into pirates right now. Grace runs around yelling, "YAAAAARG!"

She finally agreed to wear an H&M shirt that I had bought for her that she refused to wear for weeks and weeks.

This kid loves pasta.

There is a patch of weedy earth where the previous owners had a HUGE garden. We do not want a huge garden, so Brett is going to rent a roto-tiller to get rid of the weeds and overgrowth, and then we plan on just planting grass seed there for now until we figure out what we want to do with that area.

We love our deck!

Memorial Day

She usually only ever wears skirts or dresses, so she surprised me one morning when she selected shorts!

I felt pretty whimsical with my jaunty hat. Ha.

Strawberry plants

blueberry plants in there somewhere--or whatever the rabbits left for us :(

Some day we would love to re-do that porch; for now it serves as Brett's workroom

Still holding onto her little bunny. She always has to hold something in her hand whether it is a toy, a stick, or a piece of food. :)
